Why should I become a member of Geelong RC?

Does my membership application need to be ratified by the board to join as a new member? 
Yes, new members will have their application approved by the board at the next committee meeting. If your application is declined for any reason, you will receive a full refund. 

How can I pay for a membership?
Memberships can be purchased online with secure payment with a Visa or Mastercard. Please contact us for alternative payment methods.  Please be advised that your membership packs will be available to be collected from the Geelong Racing Club office once payment has been received. If you wish to have them posted out please contact the club on either hello@grc.com.au or 5229 4414

Are there members’ only facilities that I have access to on race day? 
Yes, Members will have access to one of the GRC rooms on race days. This will predominantly be the Rimfire Room but will be confirmed on each race day. 

Is there a dress code in the Dining Rooms?
Members are kindly asked to wear smart casual attire if accessing the Members/Dining rooms. Club Management retains the right, at its sole discretion to refuse any member or guest access to enter or use the dining rooms that are not attired in line with this policy or do not have the appropriate ticket or pass.

Not Permitted: The following items of clothing or those similar in nature are not permitted to be worn within the Dining Rooms. T-shirts, tracksuits, torn clothing, clothing with graffiti, singlets, football jerseys, leggings, swimsuits, beanies, board shorts, thongs, runners, moccasins, dilapidated footwear and jackets without a collar.

Who qualifies for a concession/senior membership?
Over 65Yrs - Senior membership pricing is available for those aged 65 years and over as at 1/8/23. 

What will I receive in my membership pack? 
Your Members pack will include a member card, loyalty card and race day fridge magnet.

When will I receive my membership pack? 
Membership packs can be collected from the Race Day Office after purchase for confirmed members, please allow more time during the busy renewal period. If you would like to collect your membership pack on race day, please get in touch with us to arrange this. 

What happens if my card is lost or stolen? 
Membership cards can be replaced by contacting the club (service fee may apply). The old card will be cancelled and a new one will be issued. 

Is there a Members’ car park? 
No, we have ample on-site public parking to accommodate attendees, excluding Geelong Cup Day.

How long does a membership last? 
The membership season follows the racing season, which is 1 August – 31 July. We recommend renewing early in the season to maximise value from your membership. 

If I can’t attend a race day, can a friend or family member use my card? 
Yes, another person can use your membership pass if you cannot attend. 

Are there any reciprocal rights with other race clubs? 
The Geelong Racing Club is proud to offer reciprocal rights with the following Racing Clubs throughout Australia:  Reciprocal rights access differs between clubs - It is best to contact that club directly to find out exactly what benefits you will receive on race day.
